Power BI Reporting/Data Analyst (Junior to Mid level)

Randstad is currently looking for a Junior to Mid level Reporting Analyst for an initial 6 month contract with potential of extension. This role is based in South Bank, Brisbane (note: this role is fully onsite).

Contract Length: 6 Months initial
Hourly Rate: $60-$65 an hour + super
Location: South Bank, Brisbane
Requested experience: 1-3 years

Tools/Technologies requested:
Power BI, SQL, SAP Business Objects

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rebuild approximately 60 existing Power BI and Paginated Reports across Workforce, Productivity, and Payroll Process domains.
  • Translate and adapt existing logics within the report to the new data structures.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by performing data reconciliation and implementing row-level security.
  • Improve data availability by identifying and addressing gaps.
  • Maintain documentation of all rebuilt reports, including data mappings, logic transformations, and security.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the broader data warehouse environment to ensure consistency and integration with existing BI infrastructure.
  • Support business-as-usual (BAU) reporting and BI maintenance activities where required.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Business Analytics Manager.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Report Builder (SSRS), and SQL.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX and developing scalable, performance-optimised data models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data challenges effectively.
  • Experienced in supporting BAU BI operations, including troubleshooting and user queries.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under time constraints.
